The City of Corcoran administers city, state, and federal elections for its residents. Elections for City officials are held on even years. City Clerk Friedrich and administrative office staff are available to answer your questions about voter registration and election information. 

On election days, polls at each location at 7:00 am and close at 8:00 pm. In the 2024 election year, Corcoran's three precinct locations include Corcoran City Hall, Hope Community Church and St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church. Your address determines your polling location. To determine your polling location visit https://pollfinder.sos.state.mn.us/.

Ways To Vote Early 

If you choose to not vote on the actual election day, voting early in Minnesota is convenient and accessible. Absentee voting for each election begins 46 days prior to each election date, and continues through 5:00 pm the night before each election date. 

Absentee Voting Dates by Mail or In-Person

Presidential Primary Election begins January 19, 2024
Primary Election begins June 28, 2024
General Election begins September 20, 2024

Direct Balloting Voting Dates In-Person Only
Presidential Primary Election begins February 16, 2024
Primary Election begins July 26, 2024
General Election begins October 18, 2024

Vote via absentee ballot by mail, or in-person for each election at Corcoran City Hall, 8200 County Road 116, Corcoran, MN 55340. Ballots can be dropped of at City Hall as well.

What's On My Ballot

What if I returned my ballot and want to change my vote?
You can ask to cancel your ballot until the close of business 19 days before Election Day. After that time, you cannot cancel your ballot. To cancel your ballot, contact the election office that sent your ballot. Your options are to have a new ballot mailed, vote in person at your local election office, or vote at your polling place on Election Day.

Voter Assistance
Do you need assistance casting your ballot? Whether you are voting early, or voting on election day, be sure to ask the election judges for help. They provide support in many ways:

  • Reading or marking a ballot
  • Curbside voting
  • Obtaining a magnifying glass or chair to use at the voting booth
  • If you have a temporary or permanent disability, contact City Clerk Michelle Friedrich at 763-400-7031 to learn how to apply for an absentee ballot.
