Election Update:
A huge thank you to the Corcoran community for participating in the 2024 election process yesterday and in the several weeks leading up to yesterday. Also, a huge thank you needs to be said for the wonderful Corcoran staff, election judges, and precinct locations for all of their hard work to help the process run so smoothly.
Local Corcoran election results for the Mayor and City Council races can be found below:
Mayor:
Tom McKee (Incumbent) – 3,602

City Council (Elect Two):
Dean Vehrenkamp – 1,755
Michelle R. Friedrich – 1,474
Craig Espelien – 1,187

City Council (Special Election):
Mark Lanterman – 2,842

Corcoran residents have re-elected Tom McKee as Mayor, to be sworn in at the first City Council meeting in 2025 to serve a four-year term through December 2028.
Corcoran residents have re-elected Dean Vehrenkamp and elected Michelle R. Friedrich to City Council to fill two seats, to be sworn in at the first City Council meeting in 2025 to serve a four-year term through December 2028.
In the Council Special Election, Corcoran residents have elected interim councilmember, Mark Lanterman to continue serving on City Council for the remainder of the current term, through December of 2026. Lanterman will be sworn in at the next City Council meeting on November 14, 2024.
