The City of Corcoran is seeking additions to its Police Reserve Program, to assist and support the Police Department and City of Corcoran. This position will provide an opportunity to participate in basic police department operations and gain hands-on experience with law enforcement records management systems. The Police Reserves have significant public exposure through community events, patrols, and ride alongs with full-time officers. Successful applicants will demonstrate an understanding of community policing and a commitment to building trust within the community through meaningful communication, professionalism, integrity, and teamwork. This position is ideal for law enforcement students, or those looking to give back to their community.
The Reserve Officer position is a volunteer position within the Corcoran Police Department. Reserve Officers attend monthly department meetings, and assist with several community events throughout the year. The time commitment for Reserve Officers is generally 12 hours per month, and may require participation on an emergency call out basis.
