Corcoran Hidden Gem Photo Contest

Are you ready to show off your city? Here’s your chance to do so! The City of Corcoran is hosting a photo contest and we want to see your best photos!

The themes for the contest are:
• Connected Community
• Preserving Natural Character
• Preserving Agricultural Roots

If you have a photo that embodies one or more of these themes, we want to see them! Please see the guidelines and instructions below for submitting your photos.










Contest Rules:

• This contest is open to both residents and the general public.

• Photos can be from any time but must have been taken in Corcoran, Minnesota.

• Photos must be your original work, not heavily edited, not created by AI, and must reflect the themes mentioned above.

• Participants may submit only one photo.

• All photos must be taken in Corcoran.

• All photographs must be a .jpg and at least 1 MB in size.

• Black and white, and color photographs are both welcome.

• Images that appear to heavily promote local businesses or organizations cannot be submitted.

• Photos that include logos, watermarks, or copyrights are not accepted.

• Photos with inappropriate or obscene content are not accepted.

• If there are identifiable people in the photograph, and it was taken in a non-public space, it is the responsibility of the photographer to obtain permission to use the photograph.


Owners or employees of local photography businesses must abide by the above rules and participate as residents, not as a local business.

Once photos are submitted, photographs/images become the property of the City of Corcoran who has all rights for usage. Those who have submitted contest entries also retain the rights to use their photos as they wish.

Photos submitted may be used on our website as well as in area-wide media such as the City newsletter, social media, and other City publications.

The City of Corcoran is not responsible for lost entries

 *Please note that City of Corcoran staff may remove any images deemed to be inappropriate, in violation of the rules above, or offensive.

Submit your photos between April 15 - May 26, 2025, using the link below (Google account sign-in is required to submit photos). Once photos have been received they will be added to a voting form shared on the City of Corcoran website and Facebook page for community voting to determine the top three winners. Winners will have their photos displayed in the Corcoran City Council Chambers, as well as featured on the city's website and social media pages. The first-place winner will also receive a City of Corcoran branded jacket.
